Next month’s issue on climate change will have a host of information for teachers to understand climate change issues. In this podcast, we feature Mark McCaffrey, scientist and educator for the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Science (CIRES) at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He advises teachers to think twice before teaching a unit on global warming to younger students and focus rather on understanding ideas on climate itself, to know what climate is before delving into how it is changing.
