A Nation Without School Libraries...

Interesting program recently on Public Radio International: Bob Edwards Weekend program for Saturday, October 23: A Nation Without School Libraries (podcast). Edwards' interviews Keith Curry Lance, who focuses his research on the connections between student achievement and school libraries: "He's found that students perform better in schools with well-stocked, well-funded libraries, as well as certified librarians who are actively involved in instruction."  (Article). The show is part of Edwards' continuing series: "Shhh....Libraries at Work!"
