The 12th ACM/IEEE-CS Joint Conference on Digital Libraries takes place June 10-14, 2012, in Washington D.C. The conference is hosted by the George Washington University and the Library of Congress.

Geoscience Education Reception at GSA meeting, Oct 8

The National Association of Geoscience Teachers (NAGT), the Geological Society of America's (GSA) Ed Division and Ed Committee, Cutting Edge, Incorporated Research Instiutions
for Seismology (IRIS), and American Geosciences Institute (AGI) are jointly sponsoring the annual Geoscience Education Reception at the GSA Annual Meeting.

Cyberlearning Research Summit - October 1 deadline for application...

A thought-provoking gathering of experts in learning with technology is planned for January 18, 2012. Sponsored by the National Science Foundation, the summit will focus on identifying unique opportunities for research in the learning sciences, together with new technologies and approaches.

RETI: Global climate research experience for science teachers at National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR)

Science teachers have the opportunity to apply for a 1-year global climate Research Experience for Teachers Institute (RETI) with the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado. Co-sponsored by NCAR and the Mathematics and Science Teaching (MAST) Institute at the University of Northern Colorado, RETI provides teachers with a $4250 stipend to complete the program.

Learning Labs in Museums and Libraries - Call for Applications

The Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and MacArthur Foundation are teaming up on a new funding initiative to fund up to $100,000 to plan and design learning labs in museums and libraries across the country. The initiative uses the YOUmedia teen space at Chicago's main public library as a model, and will support up to 30 labs to serve as prototypes for use of digital media for learning.
