The Digital Discovery System (DDS) is an XML repository, search and discovery system that is built with Lucene. It can be populated from a NSDL Data Repository (NDR), through web-service APIs, or from files on disc. It is optimized to support the rapid construction of audience-specific portals and applications and can be flexibly configured to search over any XML structure.
