What exactly are applied sciences?

Answer

The definition of an applied science is this:&nbsp;&nbsp;the art of applying scientific knowledge to practical problems. It is closely related or identical to engineering. Applied science can be used to develop technology.<BR><BR>It can mean any number of things, but basically if you are using scientific knowledge to actualy create something or accomplish a real task, it is an applied science.&nbsp;<BR><BR>If you are using scientific knowledge to gain more knowledge, it is not applied.&nbsp; For example general astronomy is not an applied science because it doesn't create anything other than scientific knowledge. http://vrd.askvrd.org/services/answerschema.xml
