Title: Atmospheric Visualization Collection (AVC)

Information: http://nsdl.arm.gov/index.shtml This collection is based on near real-time visualization of atmospheric data from the Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) program¿s Southern Great Plains (SGP) site. To ensure its continued growth a model user and provider community of researchers, students, and teachers is under development. Since the SGP site is the largest collection of ground-based remote-sensing atmospheric instruments in the world, the publisher's expect improving the interface into this data will have significant impact on the research and educational community. Included in the site are: interfaces to visualization of the Southern Great Plains data, educational exercises like workshops, classes, activities, and student opportunities, surveys for both teachers and students to learn whether the resources available on the site were effective and useful or not. There is also a novel exercise called the Eratosthenes Experiment which is a Worldwide Science and Math Experiment.
