1.) What is your major field of expertise and how did you become interested in it? 2.) What suggestions do you have for students who wish to become involved in your field of study?
April, I am a Systems Engineer for IBM. My particular field of expertise is backup and recovery. I started in the field by jumping at the chance to help a company that I worked for protect their information. As far as question number 2 is concerned, you have to have a lot of math and science and this will create a foundation to be able to go where ever you want. My field is continually changing so if you have a good foundation you will be able to take advantage of my field of study. I hope this helps. Dave
