1.) What is your major field of expertise and how did you become interested in it? 2.) What suggestions do you have for students who wish to become involved in your field of study?

Answer

While I got my PHd in physics in 1973 I have been doing R&D in multimedia communications. I now teach a course on digital storytelling to both computer science and art students. My suggestion is to do well in your math and science courses and when in college look for opportunities to do an internship with a company or government lab.
