NREL releases BioEnergy Atlas...

The National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) has released a comprehensive biomass mapping application called BioEnergy Atlas: http://maps.nrel.gov/bioenergyatlas

The site is a web portal that provides access to two bioenergy analysis and mapping tools: BioPower and BioFuels Atlas, that allow users to layer related bioenergy data onto a single map to gather information on biomass feedstockes, biopower and biofuels potential, production, and distribution. Multiple layers of geographic data can be applied, such as existing biofuels, biopower and traditional power plants, alternative and traditional fueling stations and energy use statistics.

The BioPower updated functionalities include query, analysis, and state view.

NREL developed the BioEnergy Atlas with funding from the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Blud Skyways Collaborative and DOE's Biomass Program.
