Question

What is the wing span of a F-16 fighter plane?

Answer

The F-16 has a wing span of 10 meters. This might be found in the library -- look for a book on USAF fighter aircraft, or "Jane's All the World's Aircraft". If you can get to the Internet, I'm sure you could also find it. The reason I am suggesting you check some sources is that this is a simple question that may help you learn how to find information -- and not just the wingspread, but the other data on this and similar aircraft, to fulfill your interest. For example, this is a Mach 2 (you may have to look that up also) aircraft and a light weight aircraft -- lighter than other fighters, that is. Let me know of your interest in aviation. I am a pilot, and fly for the Civil Air Patrol. George D. Curtis University of Hawaii-Hilo gcurtis@hawaii.edu
