Question

what are all of the number place values?

Answer

Hello Shawn, Someone asked a similar question the other day. I was going to answer but I thought better of it. Counting from the left of the decimal point, we have the ones place, then the tens, then the hundreds, then the thousands. So far as I know, the next two have no names other than "the ten thousands" and the "hundred thousands." Then come the millions -- let's call that whole set of three the millions, then the next set of three is the billions, then the next set of three is the trillions, then quadrillions, quintillions, sextillions, septillions, octillions, nonillions, decillions. Of course the googol is for 10^100. Is this answer exhaustive? Of course not. I came across an excellent web site with some more number names.
