Geometry

Question

If I Geometry next year, what should I know before I enter?

Answer

If you have taken pre-algebra or Algebra I, you should be well prepared. Geometry is more of a foundation for your later math courses. It does require some algebra skills, but is not heavily dependent on them. Mostly you will be learning the properties of geometric shapes and how they relate. You will learn many postulates and theorems. Most importantly, you will learn to think logically and formally to write proofs. Good spatial and logic skills will help you. I think learning to draw and solving simple logic puzzles are two good ways to get ready for geometry.
