Question

what functions that we have to learn when we get older?

Answer

Hello Tara, What functions will you have to learn when you get older? Do you have a scientific calculator? Do you see some buttons like SIN, COS, TAN? Those are trigonometric functions -- you will find those useful a few years from now. How about LOG, LN, EXP (or e^x)? Those are logarithmic and exponential functions. They too are useful. You might have a button on your calculator with x! (x factorial) on it. There is something called the gamma function that defines factorials for fractional numbers.
