Question

how do i design a single screw food extruder

Answer

One simle design would have a screw fitting snugly inside a cylinder. The food would enter a hole in the side of the cylinder and would be pushed forward toward the front end. A nozzle fitted to the front of the cylinder would extrude the food into the desired shape. The back of the screw would be fitted to a shaft that exits the rear of the cylinder. The shaft could be turned by a crank or by a motor. Plastic, aluminum, or stainless steel could be used for the screw and the cylinder. http://vrd.askvrd.org/services/answerschema.xml
