Question

What is the chemosynthesis process?

Answer

Chemosynthesis is the process of making food from chemicals rather than using sunlight. Creatures living at ocean ridges (where two plates move apart) survive this way. No sunlight reaches these creatures - yet they can live using chemicals from Earth (one called hydrogen sulfide) that come out of deep sea vents.
