If so give an example of a real life situatuion with the graph and equation.

pretty much the answer is Yes. As for examples, there can be many. In relationship to electronics, there is exponential curves used for decays. such as an RC circuit discharging or charging. I am sure you will get other answers as well related to other particular professions. Ask a science teacher and they should be able to provide many examples as well.
