The NSDL Wiki was setup using Mediawiki (open source system used for Wikipedia) to provide a collaborative online environment for NSDL project documentation and allowed authenticated users the ability to organize, create, and annotate NDR resources. The NSDL Wiki extensions provided functionality that integrated with library resources via the NDR API and NSDL single-signon via Shibboleth. Authorized users could search for, collect, and annotate library resources onto wiki pages and then submit these new resources back into the library via the wiki interface.
